10rate.com came out with it’s annual 2012 top 10 HE Washing Machines reviews awards last week with the Whirlpool WTW7990XG gaining the top quality spot. The review notes the 7 inch LCD touchscreen as one of the differentiating features that makes the washer stand out along with the dark tinted glass lids self lift feature. The washing machine received a 9.5 out of 10 rating even with a fairly hefty $ 2099 price tag.

The best value HE washing machine in the Best HE Washing Machines Ratings went to the Frigidaire GLTF2940FS. The reviewers noted that this unit was an excellent value for a front loader washing machine coming in at less that $ 700 and also touted its reliability.

Next, the best budget award for the Top 10 High Efficiency Washing Machines category goes to the GE WBVH5300KWW. The reviewer, Brittany Rowland noted that the rotary dial mechanism makes it easy to dial in the unit and the LED screen is bright and easy to read which cycle the wash is in.

The company will soon also release its Top 10 Washing Machines overall and its Budget Washing Machines lists as well. The company also lists the benefits to use HE detergent and washing machines as well as guidelines for how to do so.

It really can seem at times that all the inventing has been done. That pretty much everything that we need to take care of our homes has been developed, and is available. Oh sure every once in a while someone comes up with a new vegetable slicer but for the most part all the big decisions that go into developing truly useful machines for around our homes have been made. Or have they?

The truth is that a lot of progress has been made with many of the mechanised equipment that’s available today for our homes, small ranches, and businesses.  However, it’s still being perfected and added to; the mini skid loader is a prime example of this.

Now when you stop and think about it for a minute, it really wasn’t that long ago that the ride on lawnmower sat at the top of technological heap.

Of course it was affordable and useful but it was lacking in one area, and that was versatility. It did a great job of mowing lawns, and most particularly larger lawns but that was about it. What was needed was a small and equally affordable riding machine that could handle a multitude of tasks, one that had useful attachments.

Perhaps something like a riding lawnmower that could also till ground for gardening, dig post holes, scoop dirt when needed, etc. So this is exactly the market niche that the Mini skid steer loader fills today. It basically does most all of the tasks you would expect from a larger commercial tractor and its attachments, only on a smaller scale.

Now don’t confuse the mini skid steer loader with the standard sized skid loader like the Bobcat.

You see these are machines that were designed primarily for commercial uses. The Mini skid loader, on the other hand, is smaller and lighter. In comparative terms you can picture it being about the same size and weight as a very large rototiller, with one notable difference. That is that while the operator stands behind and follows a large rototiller, the operator of the Mini skid loader stands directly on the machine which makes a huge difference when it comes time to actually putting it to work.

This is because this newer, and far more advanced piece of one man machinery is designed in such a way as to allow the operator to use his or her weight when performing tasks. For instance when scooping dirt with the scooper attachment the operator would normally lean in to fill the front shovel, and then lean back when the shuttle retracts and lifts up with its load. It’s the same thing for other tasks like digging post holes.

So you see that the Mini skid loader isn’t just another yard machine in the marketplace because there are enough of them already. Besides one thing that’s not needed, is one more single task machine to sit in a garage all year until its work month arrives.  Rather this is an all in one piece of machinery that does the work of a multitude of machines. Not only does it do their jobs but does them better, faster and with far less effort. Then when you consider the cost of all the machines that the Mini skid loader replaces, it really is a big improvement on pricing as well.
